Antennas made for QRO, QRP and portable use
Frank Drake - KL7IPV, has been a licensed amateur radio operator since 1966 and associated with radios since 1953. He has used and built antennas for many years and always looked for a better way to do it without compromising their design. He also wanted to make an antenna that was rugged and easy to use. Using the antenna should be intuitive and not require stacks of paperwork to figure out how it works. It also should only require minimum set up time. The antenna should be usable as a portable using various mountings without requiring special adapters.
.This antenna fits that bill. Now there is a lightweight portable antenna made from simple materials that fits the needs of QRPers, QRO & portable operation and can be also used in locations where CC&Rs or other situations restrict antenna use or placement.
It is NOT designed nor meant for operation on a vehicle in motion.
