- I make a black antenna now. The white ones were phased out in favor of the black ones due
to the black antenna's resistance to sun damage. I have also madea white "compact" version
that is only 16 inches long and uses a telescoping whip that is 14" long when collapsed.
Although I would sell them, I do this for fun and NOT to make a lot of money.
