- I make a NEW model for portable and QRP use that uses a 1" PVC and is much smaller. That is the Hook'N'Loop antenna. I still have the black antenna now that is slightly larger than the original white one. The white ones were phased out in favor of the black ones due
to the black antenna's better resistance to sun damage. I do this for fun and NOT to make a lot of money.
